Oh good heavens! J Star, I think someone needs to sprinkle some dust around your bed to take the curse off.

OK some idears: a good time to investigate what you can get out of other types of cameras maybe? a time to check out some photography books (though you may not be interested or already have read a ton...)umm, a time to make a matchbox camera? check out photog exhibits in zee surrounding areas? look at photog magazines?

i only say all this because i feel this way about travel and being grounded, I really have to work sometimes to understand the decisions i made to get here...so i try to make the best of it.

cincy diva's got the right idea! in the meantime, hey, ever tried a LoMo (sp?)camera? Don't know where you'd get one where you live, but they're cheap and fun; might ease the waiting time for you trying out something new ...

PS, oops, I misinformed you (and am now totally abject): just googled Lomo and they are way way way cheaper, like $5-$25. I wanted one after seeing some Lomo shots - quite wierdly wonderful - but hadn't actually shopped, yet. Anyhow, if you're interested, try googling lomo or lomography ... and now I'm sounding like an infomercial or spam, aaaagh ...

I have three ancient one use cameras from K-mart circa 1994ish. I could send them your way if you'd like. Not sure if they would work. Two of them have all 24 exposures. One of them has a few images my great grandmother took back in 1994, but it still has about 15 exposures on it.
