About Me
- Name: Lurid
- Location: Mos Eisley, Tatooine
"Daniel experienced a faint echo of what it must be like, all the time, to be Isaac Newton: a permanent ongoing epiphany, an endless immersion in lurid radiance, a drowning in light, a ringing of cosmic harmonies in the ears." --Neal Stephenson, from "Quicksilver." I have synesthesia (sounds have shapes/colors) and bipolar 1. The bipolar part fucking sucks and is the most lusciously magnificent thing ever. Yeah, you've heard that before, I bet.

I know what you mean allright! I handle tiredness and lack of sleep well until it gets back to me that is.... I can go on weeks sleeping three to four hours a day mainly because am reading this super unputdownable novel or just because am not into counting sheeps but when it comes over to collect the loan, it kills me!!! I turn into a basket ase in the real sense of the term; lethargic, sleepy, I stutter: a zombie!

You're not taking peyote are you?
All of my best ideas are formulated hella late at night. When the whole wide world is fast asleep, I lie awake and think.

I would swear that picture was of the AZ desert at sunrise.
Close. It's western Texas.
Suley: We looked for peyote, but were unsuccessful. :(
That's is an awesome post, picture, blurb, whatever. I just love it.
I can always tell when I need a rest because I also see cats that aren't actually there. The family's used to the sound of "uh-oh, I'm seein' cats again!"
